Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Light Duty Vehicle Enroute (Motorway) Grant Scheme
The first ZEVI EV Recharging Infrastructure Light Duty Vehicle (LDV) National Road Grant Scheme was launched in early 2024.
In July 2024, the locations of 17 successful applicant sites were announced for the rollout of new high-powered recharging pools on the National Road Network. To ensure balanced coverage across the National Road Network, a second round of Phase 1 launched in late 2024, focused on specific areas (sub-zones) where it was not possible to award grants in the initial round, bringing the total number of awards to 19.
Combined, the grant support offered for the development of the 19 high-powered recharging pools targets the delivery of 149 high-powered recharging points and approximately 29,120 kilowatts (29 Megawatts) of recharging capacity.
